Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs - Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits

Gritty, groovy, and unapologetically loose, Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits finds Mike Campbell—Tom Petty’s right-hand man—digging deep into the roots-rock soil with his band, The Dirty Knobs. This LP is a road-worn blend of swagger, soul, and sharp songwriting, all delivered with that signature Heartbreakers-level craftsmanship.

Tracks like “Dare to Dream,” “Angel of Mercy,” and the foot-stomping title cut roll with a Stonesy strut, while slower burners like “The Greatest” lean into weathered Americana and heartfelt introspection. There's guest heat too—look out for Benmont Tench and even Lucinda Williams adding her smoky drawl to the mix.

Campbell proves he's not just a sideman but a bandleader with bite. For fans of classic rock with dirt under its nails and a twinkle in its eye.
