Felix Henkelhausen - Deranged Particles

Felix Henkelhausen's Deranged Particles is an intricate and forward-thinking exploration of rhythm and texture.

The album showcases the bassist's penchant for complex polyrhythms and contrapuntal interplay, blending elements of jazz with futuristic soundscapes. Inspired by rhythmic experiments from drummer Eric McPherson, Henkelhausen crafts compositions where independent grooves converge into a cohesive whole.

Featuring a sextet of virtuosos, including trumpet, tuned percussion, and electronic influences, the music transcends jazz orthodoxy. Myka9's guest appearance adds an otherworldly layer, creating a unique fusion of rhythmic grids and abstract, interwoven sound particles
